Explore YOUR career future with a wide range of industry innovators in town for SXSW. Sessions will feature 45 min of stage presentations followed by a personalized future-forward career readiness workshop. Students may attend any or all of the following sessions:
The Future of Smart City Living 9-10:30am
Exploring how we will use technologies such as 3d printed buildings, vertical farms, and autonomous driving to help deal with an ever increasing urban population
The Future of Making + Building 11-12:30pm
Advancements in recycled 3D Printing and autonomous robots will forever change the way we design and manufacture products, homes and even medicines. How will this increase in autonomy affect the people in product design and manufacturing jobs today.
The Future of Play + Pay 1:30-3pm
Retail is on the brink of a massive shift. Online shopping, cashless payments, and cryptocurrency are just a few of the technologies that will change the way we shop. We will also look at online content streaming and how entertainment will be changed in the coming years.
The Future of Medicine, Well-being, and Self 3:30-5pm
Imagine using your genes to have a medicine created just for you, or choosing a soft drink infused with CBD. What about futuristic wearables that actively respond to changes in your body. The future of medicine and wellness are going to change the way we look at health all together.
