Your playing small doesn't serve the world. We help visionary leaders play bigger.

We are in an extraordinary moment in which old systems, approaches, philosophies and institutions are breaking down. The new ones—which will likely look very different—are yet to be created. Successfully navigating between what exists now and what will be created for the first time ever requires a very different way of thinking and behaving. We must reorient our organizational structures away from those that manage and control resources from the top, to ones built to sense and deliver more collaboratively and responsively, harnessing the potential of a highly digital future, in humane and caring ways.

Do you know what the future needs and expects from you? Can you see what you are uniquely able to create and contribute to it?

Biased in optimism and wonder, Play Big Inc is committed to helping leaders answer these two fundamental questions in order to advance the new structures and mindsets necessary to ensure a safe and thriving future for us all.

Change your mindset, change the world.

As we accelerate the transition from the mechanical, Industrial Era to the cyber-digital, Exponential Productivity Transformation, we need to rethink the ways we create and distribute value. Moving away from a myopic focus on short-term wins and growth at all costs, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rethink, reimagine and reshape every industry and social construct; to build a much better next in which we all thrive and the planet heals. But to do so, we need to change not just what we think but how we think. It’s time we shift from Leadership (an outdated noun) to Leadering (the verb we are looking for). Here is a sampling of the visionary leaders we have advised, inspired and learned with:

We knew we would be collectively "wowed" by your presentation. What I didn't anticipate is how truly thoughtful, insightful and FUN you are and how much of an impact your time here would have on us.

Stephanie Reganon - Executive Director, Innovation Partnerships, Danforth Plant Science Center

We did it! Nancy brought the energy, insights and look into the future that not only made the meeting a smashing success, but guided us through the planning process to ensure we were building a program that would inspire, educate and (appropriately) instill a little caution about each attendees preparedness for what’s ahead. The feedback from our participants and internal team has been F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!

Lori Stillman - EVP, Analytics, Insights and Intelligence Advantage Solutions

The same moves and attitudes that let you take control before may not do so again. The world is constantly changing, and being an effective leader means changing along with it. Leadering is Nancy Giordano’s paean to the virtues of daring greatly in the face of radical change. Take forward-thinking risks and you’ll be rewarded with the spoils of a new era.

Giordano is an intellectual powerhouse, and this book upends every cherished notion we have about what it means to lead. A must-read for anyone serious about building a future that includes everyone

Thank you for making the summit so magical! The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. It was obvious how much the Caruso team enjoyed the 3 days of presentations and workshops

Strategic Futurist | Keynote Speaker | Gatherer

Described as endlessly optimistic, Nancy is a strategic futurist and bestselling author with a drive to help enterprise organizations and visionary leaders transform to meet the escalating expectations ahead.

Recognized as one of the world’s top female futurists, she has spent her career building, shaping and evolving a portfolio of $60+ billion worth of major global brands.  Invited to give over 100 global keynote talks, and with growing conviction of what will (and needs to) shift, executives value her unique abilities to sense and synthesize the terrain ahead.

Her expertise and experiences range from A.I., to frozen foods, to reinventing the internet. All of her projects have a key common denominator: transitioning away from the extractive operating systems and outdated business thinking that no longer holds up, to creating the more sustainable, inclusive and dynamic solutions the future demands.

Author of the Amazon bestselling book Leadering: The Ways Visionary Leaders Play Bigger, Nancy is a frequent panelist at South by Southwest, global keynote speaker, Singularity University guest lecturer, and the world’s first TEDx licensee. She is recognized as one of the world’s top female futurists, and is co-Founder of the Femme Futurists Society.

Emma Pezzack

Idea Amplifier | Advocate for the Future

A champion for world-changing ideas, Emma brings a visionary perspective and an infectious energy to inspiring and educating others about the opportunities ahead. Her refined design aesthetic and insatiable curiosity have been the keys to the entrepreneurial endeavors she has launched and supported.

Always a step ahead, Emma launched her award-winning online sustainable beauty retailer, Futurenatural, in 2007. And as Marketing Director for an air-purifier company, she reshaped the brand to tap into the cultural zeitgeist (and growing concerns) that air quality is pivotal to everyone’s wellness and health. Her passion for helping others see the potential ahead fueled her roles as Strategic Editor for futurist blog Cultural Acupuncture, Creative Director for GigaomChange—an exec conference for enterprise leaders eager to learn more about the exponential technologies reshaping our economy—and as co-founder of the recently launched Femme Futurists Society.

Fascinated with the ways exponential technologies are changing the world and their potential to elevate all living systems, her current work leading communication, connection and community for global futurist Nancy Giordano, the Career Fair For The Future and futurist consultancy Play Big Inc is one of her most fulfilling roles yet.

When not trying to inspire those to build a thriving world ahead, Emma loves spending time with her twin boys. On any given weekend they can be found on dirt bikes, BMX riding and wakeboarding.

Kathryn Irwin

Events Engine | Content Curator | Production Ninja

Having left SXSW after a tenure as a Senior Conference team member who assisted in the development and launch of the SXSW Interactive Festival each year, Kathryn is now using her finely honed skills in event curation, managing key business partnerships, and organization to help produce such events as Et Cultura, MULTICOIN SUMMIT, Kasasa Nation, Gigaom Change, TechCrunch Disrupt NYC, and The 2016 Austin Reggae Festival.

Apart from her passion for event planning, which ultimately aides in her love of acting as a connector within the community, she spends her off hours doting on her daughter and dog.

In a former life, Kathryn put her foundation of talents to the test and founded the method. Hair salon, named by ELLE Magazine as one of the “Top 100 Salons in the US” in 2009.

Zamira Soza

Production | Content | Executive Assistant

As a recent graduate from university, Zamira Soza (also known as Mida), is ecstatic to be a part of Play Big Inc, working closely with Nancy Giordano and the team in her first professional role in production and content.

Zamira’s background consists of combining the spiritual and scientific by studying metaphysical thought, social theories, and political/socio-economic theory. With these curiosities, her purpose has formed itself around the question of how we can make life on Earth better for all inhabitants through a sociological and spiritual lens. Weaving all that she’s learned in academia, including the extractive corporate effects on climate change, she is passionately committed to shifting current paradigms and embracing the opportunities that exist to create a better world.

While studying for a B.S. in Sociology, she funded herself to study abroad in Haifa, Israel to learn more about Middle Eastern Feminism, politics, and economy. She continues to fuel her curiosity for the world around her through global travel and her work with Play Big Inc.
